A+ Government Solutions (A+) was founded in 2006 by J. Eduardo Marques and was acquired in November 2012 by Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. (CNI). Going forward A+ will operate as A+ Government Solutions, LLC, a CNI Company (A+/CNI) and function as a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNI.

Under Eduardo’s leadership, the company now includes a seasoned management team and more than 150 experienced professionals. With the acquisition of A+, CNI will expand its presence in the areas of successfully planning, managing, and executing management consulting, human capital, health programs, health information exchange and information technology projects. A seasoned leader in both industry and Federal Government, J. Eduardo Marques has more than a decade of experience in the areas of corporate administration, business development, project management, information technology. Prior to founding A+ in 2007, Eduardo served for five years as an Information Technology Project Manager in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). His career experience also includes consulting for American Management Systems (AMS – now CGI Federal) and leading the implementation of technology solutions for Federal and State organizations.

Susan Carlson, MBA, PMP - <em>EVP for Health Technology Programs</em> Susan Carlson, MBA, PMP – EVP for Health Technology Programs

Susan has 20+ years of Government contracting experience gained from leading multi-disciplinary project teams providing information technology and communications solutions for civilian and defense agencies. She has developed and led innovative projects for several HHS operating divisions, including CDC, CMS, NIH, SAMHSA, and the Office of the Surgeon General. Prior to joining A+ in 2009, as a Sr. Vice President at Z-Tech Corporation, Susan developed and managed the company’s Health and Technology Solutions Group and supported the company’s acquisition by ICF International where she served as Vice President for Health Solutions. Susan has received numerous awards and accolades from the Federal Government for her contributions to program excellence, including a US Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award for Superior Federal Service and the US Surgeon General Certificate of Appreciation for Contributions to Hurricane Katrina Recovery.

Ann Speyer - <em>Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer</em> Ann Speyer – Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

Prior to joining A+, Ann served for more than four years as the Chief Information Officer for the Smithsonian Institution where she was responsible for the direction, planning, creation and operation of the Institution’s information technology infrastructure, telecommunications services, end-user support services and training. Prior to her appointment as CIO, she served as the Institution’s chief technology officer for almost 2 years. She previously held several key IT leaderships positions including serving as the Director of Business Technology Optimization for the HHS Program Support Center; Vice President of Development and Operations for Gelco Information Network; Director of PeopleSoft Federal Consulting; and Director of Client Services at Bell Atlantic Utilities System. She also held management and systems consulting positions with Litton PRC, Andersen Consulting, and KPMG Peat Marwick. Ann has been recognized by InformationWeek Government in 2009 as one of the top 50 CIOs in the Federal, state, and local governments; and in 2011was the recipient of the 12th Annual Women in Technology (WIT) Leadership Award.
